Jamie Parsley
Jamie Parsley is an award-winning poet and writer from Fargo, North Dakota. He is the author of sixteen books of poems and a collection of short fiction, has served as an Associate Poet Laureate of North Dakota, and is Poet-in-Residence at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.

From Paper Doves, Falling in 1992 to S/O/M/A/ in 2025, Jamie Parsley’s books trace a life of attention to place, memory and faith. Fargo, 1957, his elegy for the tornado that struck his hometown, remains his best-known work. He is also a teacher and the inaugural President of the North Dakota State Poetry Society.
