Illustrated talks on the June 20, 1957 tornado, the people it took, and how a poet turns local history into elegy. A natural fit for historical societies, libraries and community groups.
Writing workshops and classroom visits
Jamie has taught writing, literature, theology and ethics at the college level since 2003 and is Poet-in-Residence at Concordia College. He welcomes invitations from schools, colleges and writing groups.

Jamie is based in Fargo, North Dakota, and appears regularly across the Fargo-Moorhead area, North Dakota and Minnesota. Events further afield are welcome; please ask.
Can books be sold or signed at the event?
Yes. Let Jamie know in your message and he can advise on ordering copies from the publisher or bringing books to sign.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can. Teaching commitments fill the academic calendar, so a few months of notice gives the best chance of finding a date.
